Using layers in ArcGIS at the Assessor’s Office

The Assessor’s Office possesses a vault of valuable authoritative data sets. Using ArcGIS software, data from spreadsheets can be converted into map form. This enables the user to spatially comprehend a sizable dataset, potentially leading to new insights. Join us for a demonstration of the upcoming ArcGIS tool, soon to be launched for internal use at the Assessor’s Office.

Jen is an appraiser in the Office of the Assessor at the County of Santa Clara. She has a background as a field research photographer and a lifelong preoccupation with process improvement.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and associate degrees in Paralegal Studies and Commercial Photography.

Lynn Zhang

Lynn Zhang

GIS Analyst, Office of the Assessor
County of Santa Clara

Lynn is an GIS analyst in the Office of the Assessor at the County of Santa Clara and has worked in the GIS industry for over 10 years. Prior to joining the County, she worked for the City of San Jose and Department of Information Technology at Solano County.

 Lynn has a master’s degree in GIS, and another master’s degree in economics and two professional certificates: GISP and PMP (Project Management Professional).
