Matt Woo

Matt Woo is chief technology officer responsible for IT architecture, the Innovation Lab, Mode 2 application development and geographic services of the Technology Services and Solutions (TSS) Department at the County of Santa Clara.

His career in the County’s IT department spans more than 20 years. Prior to his current position, Matt was director of application development and before he was deputy chief technology officer. He has held positions of senior IT manager responsible for the Enterprise Content Management, Enterprise Product Services and Geographic Information Systems divisions; IT planner architect; County webmaster and software engineer.

Before joining the County in 2000, Matt held leadership positions in the private sector as an IT manager and architect at Recortec, Inc., which produces industrial computers, and as vice president of operations at Infiniti Systems.

Matt earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Loyola Marymount University. In addition, Matt was one of the first CIO Award recipients and is certified in Prosci Change Management.
